Snapchat is one of the leading social media platforms, with users ranging from age 13-24. Credit Karma's main target audience is between 18-24 years old, which is the general age where young adults become independent and do not yet have loyalty to a tax provider. By creating a custom Snapchat Lens, Credit Karma will be able to raise awareness to new and existing members about Credit Karma Tax. This ad format will drive results with mobile-first creative in a way that encourages fun, engagement, and discovery.
With Snapchat's software, Lens Studio, I create a custom filter that would promote tax season and potentially get users curious about Credit Karma Tax. While maintaining our brand style, I added confetti and sparkles that fly across the background. A speech bubble float’s on top of the user’s head, animated with various, quirky messaging that surrounds the theme of taxes. When the user opens their mouth, the message stops at random.
