The CVS Glucometer is an app for patients who suffer from Type 2 Diabetes. With the purchase of a glucose meter, users are able to pair it to their smart phones to have quick access to their health at all times.
For this project, we were tasked to design an activity tracking app for an already existing brand. My group and I chose to tackle the issue of diabetes, thus we created an app for CVS that connects to the user's glucometer. Together, we conducted interviews, organized data by affinity mapping, created personas, a sitemap, and wireframes, and each of our own visual designs of the app.
Through our research, we learned that a healthy diet and consistent exercise are the main factors to maintaining healthy blood sugar levels. With this app, users are able to input their exercises and meals, as well as create customizable meal plans based on the severity of their diabetes. With the target audience being patients from 35-60 years old, the interface is simple and easy to navigate.
